Billie Lourd Posts Adorable Disneyland Photo With Late Mom Carrie Fisher, Grandmother Debbie Reynolds

Billie Lourd recently posted the most adorable photo of herself with her late mom, Carrie Fisher, and late grandmother, Debbie Reynolds.

On her Instagram account, the “Scream Queens” star posted a photo from their trip to Disneyland several years ago. Lourd also took the opportunity to thank the execs of Disney for making her mom a Disney princess and a Disney legend. On Friday, Fisher was given the Disney Legends Award at the D23 Expo, and Lourd was the one who was supposed to receive it on her behalf.

Unfortunately, the 24-year-old actress wasn’t able to make it to the event due to her “American Horror Story” commitment. But she penned a letter that was read out loud at the event by Disney chairman Bob Iger. “As far back as I can remember, my mom and I have been Disney fanatics. I was so obsessed with Ariel that I wanted to change my name. We went to Disneyland so much that I now realize she might have loved it more than I did. Becoming part of the Disney family was truly an amazing moment for her. She secretly always wanted to be a Disney princess, so getting to be a Disney princess and a Disney legend would have been her ultimate dream,” she wrote.

Meanwhile, Mark Hamill, who plays the role of Luke Skywalker in the “Star Wars” films, also paid tribute to his former co-star. “I know if she were here this morning, she would’ve flipped me the bird at least twice this morning. I loved her and we were like siblings. We would fight – but we loved each other,” he said.

Fisher passed away on Dec. 27, just a few days after she suffered from a heart attack while on a plane from London to Los Angeles. Months later, it was revealed that her real cause of death had to do with her drug addiction and sleep apnea, according to CNN. Lourd responded to the findings by acknowledging the fact that her mom struggled with drug use throughout most of her life.

Lourd’s grandmother and Fisher’s mother, Debbie Reynolds, passed away on Dec. 28.
