Although Roller (Jack Kesy) almost killed Desna (Niecy Nash) in the final moments of Season 1, episode 9 of “Claws,” it looks like the vicious drug dealer isn’t going to be her biggest problem in tomorrow’s Season 1 finale.
“There are bigger forces at play that Desna is going to be going up against,” Carrie Preston, who plays Polly on the TNT series, told TVLine when asked what fans can expect from the season ender. “There’s going to be a lot left hanging as to what’s going to happen with her and the crew, and how they’re going to navigate their way out of the prickly situation.”
In a separate interview with Entertainment Weekly, Karrueche Tran said that Season 1, episode 10 will see “Desna fighting for her life.” But Tran pointed out that Desna isn’t the only one who is in danger in the season finale. “She thinks everything is good,” Tran said of her character Virginia. “She thinks Desna handled it with Roller.” But it isn’t really the case.
In a sneak peek from the episode, Uncle Daddy’s (Dean Norris) calls his wife Juanda (Dale Dickey) to tell her that they are at war with the Russians.
“I need you to get down to She She’s right now. We are at war,” Uncle Daddy tells Juanda.
As Juanda prepares to leave her bedroom, Uncle Daddy tells her over the phone that the Russians are after the Dixie Mafia after Roller killed one of them.
But that isn’t the only bad news Uncle Daddy delivers to his wife. Uncle Daddy also tells Juanda that Bryce (Kevin Rankin) has accidentally killed Ted (Michael Emerson), the New Age-y crime boss from Georgia that showed up at She She’s last episode.
“What? How in the hell you do that on an accident?” a shocked Juanda asks.
“Don’t worry about it,” Uncle Daddy says. “Just get down [here]. It’s on place. It’s safe.”
But before she can leave her room, Juanda hears an unusual noise that came from the outside. Have the Russians already broken into Uncle Daddy’s mansion to seek revenge?
