CAT Deeley has hit out at a popular restaurant in LA, and branded the manager a “moron”.
The So You Think You Can Dance host shocked fans after lashing out at the Tom George eatery on social media.
Taking to Twitter the 40 year old, who recently welcomed her first child with Patrick Kielty, urged her 357k followers avoid the eatery “at all costs”.
She wrote: “The worst featuring! Worst food! As for the manager?????? Moron!!!!!
“The most disgusting restaurant, terribly run , by a manager – who can only be described as an amateur. Avoid at all costs. #tomgeorge.”
However, one person who wasn’t too impressed by her tweet was the waiter who served her.
Sharing a photo of her receipt, he replied: “Cat, as your server at Tom George I am hurt by your response to free food.
“I gave you respect, and I served you with love.”
“And as I respectfully told you, the catalogue of errors were not your fault,” she responded.
“However, the mistakes were repeatedly not correctly rectified…
“The food was terrible and your manager was unhelpful and rude. Respect and love should be shown to all, attention to detail is necessary too!”
She later added: “Just to be clear. Our order arrived at the table incorrectly FIVE times!
“Then one of my guests dishes was inedible. There was zero service. (sic)”
Cat’s fans were left divided over her behaviour, with some unhappy she didn’t tip her server after getting a free meal.
“This reeks of self entitlement and misuse of your fame. I’m embarrassed for you,” one wrote.
Another commented: “[If] you have a problem with the service complain to corporate. Don’t blast a place or server. Everyone can have a bad day even you.”
While a follower said: “No tip?? Seriously?? That’s a terrible thing to do Cat.”
However, others rushed to defend the mum of one’s actions.
One asked: “Do you feel entitled to a good meal & good service when you go to a restaurant? I sure do, but @catdeeley isn’t supposed to?
“So glad you didn’t tip ! So wasn’t deserved,” another added.
Speaking to the Mirror, the Tom George Guest Relations Manager later explained: “She came here and ordered a few things but she didn’t like the taste of the food but there wasn’t any problem – but different people have different taste and she didn’t like it, so our manager apologised and he discounted the bill.
“I don’t know what more our manager could do. I don’t know why she called him a moron because he was helpful and really nice and we always try to do our best – whether it’s a celebrity or just regular people. We treat everyone equal.”
“If she wants to come back and let us prove our service and that our food is good she’s welcome back at any time.”
