Belmont’s all-time leading scorer Evan Bradds suffered two injuries in one NBA tryout Wednesday that will sideline him for several months.

Bradds was in a pre-draft tryout with the Indiana Pacers with several other college prospects when he took an elbow to the face, which left him with a broken nose.

Bradds surprised the staff by refusing to take a seat and continued to play and play well.

Unfortunately, later in the tryout the 6-foot-7 Bradds came down wrong on his right foot and tore his ACL.

The ACL injury will likely require surgery and mean that Bradds, who confirmed both injuries via text but declined to comment, will be sidelined for 6-8 months. Surgery has not yet been scheduled.

Others in the tryout, according to a release from the team, included Sindarius Thornwell (South Carolina), Semi Ojeleye and Ben Moore (SMU), Dillon Brooks (Oregon) and Michael Young (Pittsburgh).

Bradds, a two-time Ohio Valley Conference player of the year, set Belmont’s all-time scoring mark this past season with 1,921 career points. He is fourth in NCAA Division I history in field goal percentage (66.7). He also had more than 900 career rebounds.
