The mum of four explained one person even wished her newborn son, Finley, dead.

And husband Jamie revealed the extent of the shocking abuse the family have received, as a result of football decisions.

The Leicester City footballer confessed he gets death threats “every week” but admits there is “nothing” he can do about it.

“Once that is out there people pick it up and jump on it and you’re getting death threats about your family, kids, everything,” he told The Sun.

“On social media, you name it – walking down the street. To be honest I get them [death threats] every week.

“Football fans don’t seem to like me that much. A lot of false accusations were being thrown out there and there’s nothing us, as players, could do about it.”

The 30 year old revealed the threats had even started becoming more physical – with Rebekah being “cut up” while driving with their children.

He continued: “I just get on with it but when people are trying to cut your missus up while she’s driving along, with the kids in the back of the car, it’s not the best.

“It’s happened plenty of times. It’s terrifying.”

Opening up on the trolls escaping punishments, Jamie continued: “All that can happen is they get banned on Twitter.

“People get cut up on the road but if there are no cameras, you’re screwed.

“I get abuse at every stadium that I turn up at. To be honest, you are always going to get stick from fans. It is part and parcel of football.

“I couldn’t tell you why I get it, but it’s part of the game. I am not really fussed about it on the pitch. It’s fine by me.

“But when you’re getting death threats about your family, kids everything, that’s terrifying.”

The dad of three’s words come after Rebekah opened up about messages she had received following their son’s birth, on January 8.

Speaking to OK! Magazine, the 34 year old explained: “A troll tweeted me saying they wished my newborn son was stillborn – and I’m still disgusted.

“So many people go through that and it’s such a topical subject at the moment with it being a Coronation Street storyline.

“You’ve got to be some sick and twisted individual to post that, but they’re just sad idiots looking for attention and wanting to upset others.

“I blocked the person and reported to Twitter, who have frozen their account.”

She added: “Fortunately I’m a strong person.”
