Metro Nashville Police Department officers are still looking for an SUV after a driver struck and killed a pedestrian on West Trinity Lane near Brick Church Pike.

According to a department release, the incident happened at 4:35 a.m. Police describe the vehicle in question as possibly a yellow Range Rover, with a black top and black rims. A surveillance camera from a nearby business captured images of the vehicle.

Police said the investigation showed that the pedestrian victim, Sherry Cameron, 58, of Estill Springs, was crossing W. Trinity Lane from north to south outside of a crosswalk when she was hit by the SUV.

Emergency personnel took Cameron to Skyline Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

Anyone seeing the SUV or knowing who was driving it this morning is asked to immediately contact the Emergency Communications Center at 615-862-8600.
