Police are currently on the scene of a reported shooting at Freeman High School in Rockford, Washington, just south of Spokane.
KXLY-TV reports that four people have been shot and a suspect is in custody. At least 2 victims have been transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane for treatment. There is no information regarding the condition of the victims at this time.
Spokane schools says all public schools in the area have been placed in a full lock-down as a precautionary measure. The lock-down was later lifted at 11:25 a.m. PST.
Law enforcement officials are currently conducting a floor-by-floor sweep of the building. The Spokane Sheriff’s Office is expected to provide more information at a news conference.
The Spokesman-Review reports that the school did a modified lockdown drill on Tuesday. A parent of two Freeman students told the paper students were running into buildings and that an alarm was sounding when she pulled up to the school around 10:15 a.m. PST.
