PAM St Clement looks set to make her return to soap, but it won’t be another ghostly appearance on EastEnders.
Instead, the iconic actress, who is best known or playing the role of Walford resident Pat Butcher, will make another cameo in hospital soap Casualty.
After leaving EastEnders in 2012, Pam took on the role as patient Sally Hodge for the show’s 30th anniversary episode in 2016.
Having impressed fans with her portrayal of the new character, the soap’s producer Erika Hossington told Inside Soap of the plans to bring her back on the show.
She said: “Pam St Clement is returning. Her character literally causes an explosion, and that will be airing in March.”
While fans wait for the highly anticipated episode, Pam recently opened up about her character and revealed what Pat Butcher would do if they ever met.
“Put it this way, if Sally was walking down the same street as Pat Butcher, Pat would neatly sidestep on to the opposite pavement,” the iconic star told the Mirror.
“She’s an unfortunate woman because of her emotional baggage and she doesn’t always come over as being very nice. But it was a nice complicated character to play – very condensed.”
News of Pam’s return to Casualty comes after she revealed that she would love to be called back.
“An actor never knows what’s around the corner. The power is never in our hands,” the iconic star said at the time.
“If we’re asked to do a part again that we’ve enjoyed, then we’d love to.”
The last time Sally was a patient in the hospital, she ruffled a few feathers when she swore at Charlie.
After telling her what was wrong, the nurse pleaded with her to let the doctor’s to treat her.
However, Sally wasn’t having any of it.
Instead she asked him: “Would you like a strawberry bon bon?
“Oh dear no bon bons. Why don’t you suck on those?” she followed up before swearing at him.
Casualty continues on BBC One at 7.55pm.
