Paul Kelly is a big deal in his native Australia, where he has released more than 20 albums since 1981 and was recently appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia. On his latest release, “Death’s Dateless Night,” recorded with his countryman Charlie Owen, the veteran singer-songwriter takes on a selection of funeral songs written by the likes of Cole Porter, Leonard Cohen and the Beatles.
The duo is taking the sparse recordings on the road, performing at intimate venues across North America. Catch them at the Swedish American Hall on Sunday, May 21.
