One man was killed and two other people wounded in a shooting at Cayce Homes apartments Friday afternoon, according to police.

Metro Nashville Police identified Travis Rosemond, 26, as the man who died. Montel Sowell, 20, was shot in the stomach and is in critical condition, according to police.

A 14-year-old male was also shot in the arm. The teenager and Sowell are Cayce Homes residents.

Rosemand was found sitting in the passenger seat of a silver four-door Buick.

Police have said it is unclear if the individuals were shooting at each other or someone else was shooting at them. Police will not release the name of the man who was killed until family is notified.

Three crime scenes around the apartment complex were roped off with police tape just before 2 p.m. Friday afternoon, particularly around building 77 off South Eighth Street.

Witnesses in the area reported hearing three gunshots.

The incident Friday occurred right beside the location where teenager Vastoria Lucas was fatally shot on March 28.
