The Quebec Capitales ended the Ottawa Champions’ winning streak at eight games, defeating the home team 4-2 in a Can-Am League baseball game at RCGT Park on Saturday night.
The Capitales (35-20) scored single runs in the third and fourth innings, then added two in the top of the sixth for a 4-0 lead before the Champions (24-30) responded with one in the seventh and one in the ninth. The loss was charged to Ottawa’s Phillippe Aumont (3-2), who gave up seven hits and four earned runs in seven innings.
