Robertson County’s annual Tobacco, Beef, and More field day is scheduled 8 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 22 at the UT Highland Rim Research & Education Center, 3181 Experiment Station Road in Springfield.

A sponsored lunch will be provided following morning tours.

This year’s beef and forage topics include pasture weed identification, pasture management strategies, water quality and location in pastures, and drought management: optimal versus maximum stocking rate.

Tobacco topics include new dark-fired variety KT D17LC, angular leaf spot and other foliar diseases, chemical topping in Burley and Pelleted versus Ag Lime.
