TLC are playing their first UK show this May.
TLC’s Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas are headed across the pond to perform at London’s Koko on May 9.
The R&B legends will be performing their hits “No Scrubs,” “Waterfalls” and “Creep” as well as previewing some new tracks from their forthcoming album, scheduled for release in June.
The ladies managed to raise $430,255 via Kickstarter to fund the brand new album.
Katy Perry contributed $5,000 to the campaign – the most-funded in the company’s history – that saw Tionne and Rozonda record the last ever TLC album.
“Our final album will stay true to the TLC sound, always confronting the real issues and life experiences that we all must face every single day, everywhere. We write music that people relate to…timeless music. No matter the trends, we feel like our music is always relevant,” TLC wrote after securing the funds for the project.
“This final album will be the first studio album by the two of us. Of course, Lisa’s spirit will always be present in our music. That will never change.”
The third member of TLC, Lisa “left-eye’ Lopes, passed away in 2002 after being involved in a car accident.
Two tracks from the untitled album – “Joy Ride” and “Haters” were teased last year.
