President Donald Trump’s first foreign trip has drawn country star Toby Keith to Saudi Arabia for a free concert in Riyadh, the Saudi capital.
Advertised by Saudi entertainment website Lammt, the “Red Solo Cup” and “Beer for my Horses” singer will play a free concert in Riyadh this Saturday, the same day the president is scheduled to sign “several agreements that will further solidify U.S.-Saudi security and economic cooperation.”
The concert is for men only, and Saudi laws forbids the production, import or consumption of alcohol.
Trump is scheduled to spend the first two days of his inaugural foreign trip in Saudi Arabia, before going to Israel, Belgium and Italy.
The highly anticipated visit from the president comes amid growing tension in the region. The Saudi government hopes impress Trump with a dazzling display of events and dignitaries. The kingdom wants this conference to signal a new era of diplomatic peace between the two countries. They have even launched a website complete with a countdown clock until Trump’s visit.
