Gary Sanchez is picking up right where he left off last season.
The 24-year-old Yankees slugger smashed a homer off the scoreboard during batting practice Thursday at George M. Steinbrenner Field, and made it look effortless.
There’s no Statcast available, obviously, but the left-center wall there is 399 feet away, and that ball hit the board 25-30 feet up.

Afterward, Sanchez shared his thoughts about the blast on Twitter.
Just getting warmed up. / Apenas estamos calentando. https://t.co/89flQqfRmT
